to anyone who intends to tag on this blog

dear all, this blog was started as a judo CLUB blog and not a training blog or for whatever other purposes you may want or wish it was for. anything to do with training is to be handled on the dojo and not on this blog. belittlement and suggesting apparent ways of helping us improve is discouraged especially if i dont know (and dont want to know) who you are and especially if youre going to affect any of my dear club members in any way. we understand if you are sincerely enthusiastic about CJ improving by national standards, and we would appreciate if you discuss these matters with persons of higher importance (ie. coach justinian and teachers) rather than us, if it means that much to you.

so if the aforementioned instance does not apply to you or if you do not belong to the club anymore and are raising strong animosity towards youself from the club, regardless of how "experienced" you are in the judo scene, please fuck off.

p.s. j1s and j2s, sorry for the rather personal post. j1s, cursing is bad. please dont learn from example.

About Us

Hello! We are the judokas from CJC and we also happen to be the coolest people in the universe.
Our club is wrought in over 20 years of history. The CJudo club has been known to be affiliated with the IJ sisters and SJIians. Our team is not obsessed with victory but the essence of which every training is made up of. We bond as we bleed and sweat on the dojo and our souls unite as our voices ring out true and clear; giving each other pure motivation and inspiration for strength. We're famous for our outings and our special judo dictionary. Our club is horribly guilty of our idiosyncratic ways to create scandals out of the merest information; we always are involved or know about one scandal or another. The club moulds her judokas into well-rounded individuals who do not only get hyper and high but emotional and depressed at other times as well. CJudo is also special and eccentric for her members hold many different skills such as acting, writing, shooting, climbing mountains, running, jogging for long distances and yet not collapse, gymnastic flexibility and flips, dancing, suanning(especially so), not yielding to injuries but death, dressing up, not dressing up, directing and editing(basically making) masterpieces of videos, speaking accents, singing badly, singing ok, playing taiti and bridge, going out in droves of people, having study sessions(that sometimes are not quite study sessions) and many other traits but of which the most outstanding quality about us is our passion for judo on and off the dojo and our God-like zeal to withstand suannings and rachel's singing. Our judokas are known to have strong powers of attraction for each other(literally) for if two judokas or more congregate, others will come joining in on the melee. We're a famous bunch us. So don't you forget that!

We don't hope to win, we want to win.

JUDO DICTIONARY
(this was cutted and pasted directly from alvin's blog.have a read.)

start class- time to start

warm up- an important part of judo that ensures you won't get hurt later by hurting you now.

one straight line - a line said by the coach to indicate that the warm up is over and the real training is beginning.

randori - sparring.

randori with juniors - getting to kick some serious ass.

randori with seniors - getting your ass kicked.

randori with old boys/coach - letting your ass be kicked so bad it may as well be a soccer ball

shiai - getting your ass kicked in front of everyone else at training

ne-waza - an excuse to roll around on the ground in very compromising positions with another person of the same sex.

sweep - 1.cleaning the dojo by running your feet over the surface of the mats. 2.a throw which involves forcibly ramming (also known as zam-ing) your foot into your opponent's ankles.

tomo nage - by right,tomo-nage is a stomach throw. by left, tomo-nage is a kick in the groin.

RJC - the home of smart and strong judokas. also known as raffles junior college, RA(raffles academy) and "those bastards!!!". see also "jason tan"

HCJC - the home of smart, strong and crazy judokas. also known as hwa chong junior college, HCI(hwa chong institution), "those crazy bastards!!" and most popularly as "gold medallists". see also "huang hao"

CJC - the home of the "chio bu" judokas. also known as crazy junior college, "those idiots!!!" and " cj who!??!?"

lau yu don - a stupid bastard. eg. " why the hell did you try and tomo-nage the RJC coach?!?! you think you lau yu don is it!?!?" note that the key word is "try"

jason tan - a crazy bastard. eg." wa lau this guy jason tan is it?!?! broken collarbone can still do 15 pull ups!"

davis seow - a dirty bastard. eg. " that guy davis seow man, tickling my neck while choking me!"

sherman ho - a poser. eg "stop jumping around like sherman ho lah! later get sweep then you know!"

CHIN peng phay - a big coach. also, a skilled judoka who uses "tactics" for that added edge.

"tactics" - techniques not taught in the books and used by davis seow, like drving your chin into your opponent's chest while you're holding him.see also above "CHIN peng phay"

justinian chua - a bigger coach. also, a person who uses "the last ride" throw.

the last ride - a judo throw which involves a great height, some screaming, and a lot of cringing from its witnesses.

audi extension: a place with very bright lights but no fans or air-con where people are tortured, ie.hell

brown belt: old man/woman

black belt: VERY old man/woman

drink: a liquid for consumption ie.vodka

trampoline: judoka slang for bed

franciscan: root word: francis.an order of monks who wear brown and specialise in ippon seoi nage

eugene: judoka slang for God (also refer to chemical E)

Chemical E: a draught of this and flaccid muscles become tough turgid steel-like ones; eugene (refer to prior definition)

yudon: judoka slang for idiot

CJC: the 2nd home of most judokas

SJI: the 1st home of most judokas

laziness: CJC slang for poisonous

last lap/set: coach-speak for get ready for an even more painful exercise

yi min:judoka slang for crazy

ODAC: judoka slang for yi min

jeremy: judoka slang for sadist

NS: judoka slang for rest period

competition: judoka slang for war

clubbing: judoka slang for training (judo club, geddit?!?)

dj: judoka slang for coach

training: judoka slang for torture
